The Homewood-Flossmoor High School Band Program helps performing arts students build a strong foundation in music theory and performance and, for those interested in taking their playing further, prepare for a career in the music industry. Whatever ensembles you join, you’re guaranteed a quality education from passionate instructors.

Note: The band website and social media channels are all volunteer-run and supported. Anything published online on behalf of HF Bands has already been communicated to students via either email or Google Classroom. Your HF email and Google Classroom remain the most accurate and up-to-date sources for all information!

It’s always a privilege to bring together our school bands from across Homewood-Flossmoor to honor Memorial Day 🇺🇸 This morning, the HF Marching Vikings, the James Hart Bands, and the Parker Bands played together in Homewood in honor of those who gave their lives for our country. Later in the day, some members of the HF Band also joined the Village of Flossmoor for Taps Across America.

Thanks to everyone in the community who joined us for this important annual event, and to the organizers for inviting us all to be a part of it again.

Youth Night is one of our favorite games every year, when our HF Marching Vikings and future Marching Vikings take the field together for the pregame and halftime shows. It gives our middle school student musicians the chance to ‘step up’ into the high school band experience for an evening and gives our high schoolers a chance to mentor the young musicians coming up behind them.

Our HF band program is as strong as it is thanks, in part, to the dedication and hard work of the music programs, staff, and students at our partner middle schools in @homewood153 and @fsdistrict161. Thanks for your ongoing partnership ❤️🤍

We hope all of our young guests had an incredible time on Friday night. We can’t wait to see all of you in your own HF marching band uniforms soon!
